We invite you to contribute to the upcoming edition of the Journal of Pastoral Catechetics (JPKAT) (June and December). JPKAT is a scientific journal published and dedicated to the publication of original research results and high-quality conceptual studies in the field of pastoral and catechetics.

JPKAT has a focus and scope on catechetical pastoral issues of the Church, including but not limited to:

  • Religious Education and Catechetical Studies
  • Pastoral and Contextual Theology
  • Phenomenology of Religion in Pastoral Life
  • Liturgy and the Spirituality of the People
  • Family and Categorial Pastoral
  • Pastoral Care and Community Bases
  • Innovations in Catechetical Methods and Pastoral Care
  • Catechetical Pastoral Challenges in the Modern/Digital Age
  • Biblical Studies in a Catechetical Pastoral Perspective
  • Interreligious Dialogue and Church Life

General Instructions for Authors:

  1. Manuscripts are original work, have never been published before or are in the process of being considered for publication in other journals.
  2. Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian or English.
  3. The length of the manuscript is between 10 to 18 pages (including abstract, tables, figures, and bibliography).
  4. Manuscripts are typed in standard format (Times New Roman size 12, 1.2 spacing, A4 paper).
  5. The manuscript must include:
  • Title (clear and concise)
  • Author's Name (without academic degree) and Institutional Affiliation
  • Correspondence author's email address
  • Abstract (in Indonesian and English, maximum 250 words)
  • Keywords (3-5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Research Methods
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Bibliography (using APA Style citation style)

Manuscripts are submitted online through JPKAT Open Journal Systems (OJS)

All submitted manuscripts will go through a peer-review process by a team of bestary partners who are competent in their fields. Acceptance decisions will be based on originality, significance, methodological quality, and clarity of presentation.
