Inkulturasi Gereja Katolik dengan Kebudayaan Dayak Pompakng dalam Prosesi Ngongkat Salib: Perspektif Sosiologi Agama Robert J. Schreiter

Inkulturasi iman Gereja Katolik dalam konteks budaya lokal menjadi isu strategis dalam misiologi kontemporer, khususnya di wilayah masyarakat adat Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengkaji proses inkulturasi Gereja Katolik dengan kebudayaan Dayak Pompakng, dengan fokus pada prosesi adat "Ngongkat Salib" (mengangkat salib dalam upacara keagamaan lokal), melalui kerangka teori sosiologi agama Robert J. Schreiter. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif etnografis dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan tokoh agama dan masyarakat, observasi partisipatif terhadap ritual, dan studi dokumen Gereja serta literatur adat Dayak Pompakng. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ngongkat Salib merepresentasikan transformasi simbol kristiani yang diintegrasikan dengan identitas budaya lokal, menghasilkan bentuk "teologi lokal" yang unik. Proses inkulturasi ini bukan sekadar sinkretisme, melainkan komunikasi iman yang autentik, di mana nilai-nilai Kristiani dan kebijaksanaan lokal Dayak saling memperkaya. Teori Schreiter tentang "Constructing Local Theologies" terbukti relevan dalam menjelaskan bagaimana Gereja Katolik memfasilitasi pertemuan bermakna antara iman universal dan konteks budaya spesifik. Implikasi akademik penelitian ini memperkaya diskursus sosiologi agama dan misiologi di Asia Tenggara, sementara secara pastoral menawarkan model inkulturasi yang dapat diterapkan dalam evangelisasi kontekstual di wilayah adat lainnya. Penelitian menegaskan bahwa inkulturasi yang mendalam memerlukan pendekatan dialogis, rasa hormat terhadap warisan budaya, dan keterbukaan teologis terhadap perubahan dinamis kehidupan umat lokal.
